«Bourevestnik» delivered a diffractometer DRON-8
«Bourevestnik»,NPP delivered and put into operation a multifunctional X-ray diffractometer DRON-8 at the enterprise Production and Commercial Firm «NK», CJSC (Stary Oskol, Belgorod region) in Autumn 2017.
The modern multifunctional X-ray diffractometer DRON-8 with vertical theta-theta goniometer is designed to solve a wide range of tasks of X-ray diffraction analysis of phase composition, structural state and orientation of objects of various shapes and sizes.
The DRON-8 diffractometer put into operation is exempted from radiation control, which removes the necessity for the user to have a specially prepared room approved by the local Rospotrebnadzor authority, as well as to have «A» group personnel required to work on the device.
The main task solved by the specialists of «NK», CJSC PKF on the diffractometer DRON-8 is qualitative and quantitative phase analysis of refractory cements. During training of the specialists of the company they were given practical recommendations on application of the three most frequently used methods of quantitative analysis realized on the software supplied with the apparatus. These are the corundum number method, the standard calibration method and the full profile Rietveld method. All these methods are applicable to the user's objects and give reliable and stable results for the quantification of component contents in refractory cements.
Free training on a two-week program is an integral part of each supply contract and is conducted at the manufacturer's premises. After the training the specialists are issued certificates of professional training in the profession of «laboratory technician-radiostructuralist».
