A diamond weighing 342.92 carats was extracted at the equipment of Bourevestnik, JSC
On July 28, 2021, a diamond weighing 342, 92 carats was found by one of the world's largest diamond mining companies, Petra Diamonds Ltd.
The Cullinan mine, located in the Republic of South Africa, produced a Type IIa diamond with exceptional characteristics in both color and clarity.
X-ray fluorescent separators included in the technological process of diamond ore beneficiation were supplied by IC Bourevestnik JSC and commissioned in 2017. This includes primary beneficiation separators LS-20-09L and LS-20-05NL, specially designed for efficient recovery at wide grades of size in the range of -50 +5 mm.
The principle of separators operation is based on the use of diamond luminescence under the influence of X-ray radiation. The fundamental characteristics incorporated by the developers of IC Bourevestnik JSC in this equipment are: increased concentrate conditioning and high level of recovery of weakly luminescent diamonds and diamonds of type II. The extraction of white diamonds by our foreign partners once again confirms the stated properties of our separators and the reliability of their operation.
