The recovery of these diamonds demonstrates the predominance of such stones in the Cullinan ore body and the ability of the mill equipment to recover the full range of diamonds.
Cullinan enrichment plant uses X-ray luminescent separators manufactured by Bourevestnik, JSC - currently, after crushing, ore of -60 +8 mm grade is treated by 10 primary separators without the use of heavy-medium beneficiation. The above-mentioned type II diamonds were recovered using a high-performance X-ray luminescent separator for primary beneficiation LS-20-09L and an X-ray luminescent separator for final beneficiation LS-OD-75.
