Portable luminescence analyzer PAL-1

Portable luminescence analyzer PAL-1 is designed to measure the parameters of luminescence kinetics of diamonds and related minerals.

Analyzer PAL-1 is used to determine numerical values of kinetic characteristics of luminescence signals similar to those obtained in X-ray luminescence sorters of JSC IC Bourevestnik when separating diamonds and accompanying luminescent minerals. The analyzer performs accumulation, archiving, analysis and graphical presentation of data arrays. The obtained characteristics can be used to analyze the enrichability of diamond-containing materials during exploration of deposits and in the process of development of specific deposits. The analyzer can be used in the final finishing shops and departments of QCD of enrichment plants, dredges and seasonal modules, as well as in the departments of chief enrichment engineers for optimal selection of separating features to be put into sorters.

The operating principle of the analyzer is based on the property of luminescence of minerals under the influence of X-ray radiation (X-ray luminescence). Registration of luminescence of samples is carried out both from the irradiation side (luminescence mode) and from the opposite side of samples (absorption mode).
