UOK-2 is specially designed for measuring numerical kinetic parameters of luminescence of diamonds and associated minerals. Obtained data are used for calibration of the Bourevestnik sorters. UOK-2 is based on property of diamonds to luminesce under the X-ray. Analyzer distinguishes diamonds from other associated luminescent minerals and also can measure characteristics with registration of luminescence of an object from both sides: irradiation and opposite. - to analyze the enrichment of diamond-containing materials by deposits and in the process of development of specific deposits;

The principle of operation of UOK-2 is based on the use of the property of diamonds to luminesce under the influence of X-ray radiation and the difference of these properties in diamonds and accompanying luminescent minerals. The possibility of simultaneous characterization when registering the luminescence of an object both from the irradiation side and from the side opposite to irradiation is realized.
The data obtained at UOC-2 should serve as a basis for the improvement of X-ray luminescent separators, as well as for. improving technological schemes of enrichment of diamond-containing materials..
