X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer BRA-135F

The BRA-135F is intended for the qualitative and quantitative determination of chemical elements in range from 9F to 92U of liquid, powder and solid samples.

Used methods of analysis:

  • Qualitative analysis - for qualitative determination of the composition of the substance under study by the presence of peaks characteristic of specific elements in the spectrum, i.e. the presence of this or that element;
  • Quantitative analysis - for quantitative determination of the content of elements on the basis of processing of the obtained spectrum with the help of a special calibration program (quantitative calibration of the instrument);
  • Method of fundamental parameters - for quantitative determination of element content without using standard samples for calibration (for determination of alloy compositions).

  • Determining elements from F to U;
  • Analysis time per sample - from 10 to 200 sec;
  • Automatic sample feed disk for 11 and 15 samples;
  • It is possible to examine samples of non-standard sizes - up to 200x60 mm;
  • Built-in industrial computer;
  • Power consumption - up to 500 VA;
  • Air-cooled X-ray tube with a maximum voltage of 50 kV (no coolant priming required);
  • The spectrometer is exempt from radiation monitoring;
  • It does not require pressing of bulk samples and sealing of liquid samples, there are no strict requirements to the quality of the sample surface.

X-ray fluorescence energy dispersive spectrometer BRA-135F complete with the developed certified technique for measuring the mass fraction of SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, SO3, Na2O, K2O, Cl, TiO2, P2O5, Cr2O3, MnO, ZnO, SrO (FR.1 .31.2020.36881) allows to solve the problem of controlling the chemical composition of cement production products (raw mix, clinker and cement) with satisfactory accuracy and in acceptable time.

The technique uses the method of fusion of samples with borate flux at 1125 °C in platinum crucibles for 6 - 9 minutes to create a homogeneous fused disk. The produced disk is placed in a spectrometer and analyzed under vacuum for 100 seconds (600 seconds for Na2O). The universal calibration characteristic is constructed on the basis of synthetic samples, the method of preparation of which is detailed in the text, as well as from process samples of the plant (raw mix, clinker, cement). This approach provides the necessary flexibility in work and at the same time accuracy of measurements. As reference samples it is possible to use domestic GEO, as well as standard samples of foreign manufacturers.
